Sunday ("we," "our," or "the app") is a shared scrapbook app for iPhone. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Apple, we receive only the information Apple provides — typically a name and an anonymised email relay address.
Content you add. Photos, audio recordings, text (quotes, notes, captions), location names, song references, and other content you add to journals is stored on our servers so it can be shared with the people in your journal.
Usage data. We use Mixpanel to track anonymous, aggregate usage patterns — for example, which element types are used most, how often the app is opened, and whether features are working as intended. This data is tied to an anonymous ID assigned at first launch and is never linked to your name or email address. We never log the content of anything you add (photo subjects, quote text, song titles, etc.) — only structural metadata like "a photo was added."
Device token. If you grant notification permission, we store your Apple Push Notification token to deliver push notifications. This is refreshed on every app launch.
Journal content is stored using Supabase (database and authentication) and Cloudflare R2 (photos and audio files). Both services are hosted in the United States. Content is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Document scans (tickets, boarding passes, receipts) are processed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in technology. The original scan image is never transmitted or stored — only the confirmed text fields you choose to save.
Song album art is served directly from Apple's servers via a stored URL. Sunday never downloads or re-hosts album art.
Content you add to a journal is visible to all current members of that journal. It is not visible to people outside the journal, and it is not public.
If you leave or are removed from a journal, your content remains visible to the other members with your name attached. This is by design — shared memories belong to everyone who was part of them.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your content to train machine learning models. We do not show you advertising.
Sunday uses the following third-party services:
Sunday+ subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not handle payment information directly. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data.
Sunday is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
